On June 3, China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released China's logistics industry prosperity index in May, with a prosperity index of 52.8%, down 0.7 percentage points from the previous month; China's warehouse index was 52.8%, down 1.5 percentage points from the previous month.
In May, the total logistics business index was 52.8%, down 0.7 percentage points from the previous month; the new order index was 53.1%, down 2.1 percentage points from the previous month. It shows that while the logistics operation is running smoothly, the downward pressure has accumulated. The inventory turnover index fell by 3.3 percentage points to 51.7%, and the average inventory index fell by 1.2 percentage points to 48.1%. From the perspective of varieties, the consumption demand for finished products related to people's livelihood is strong, the goods in the warehouse chain are obviously destocked, and the logistics efficiency has improved.
Ren Hui, the head of China's logistics information center, believes that although the logistics industry's prosperity index has declined in May, it is still operating in the expansion zone, reflecting that logistics business activities continue to be active and the logistics scale is stabilizing.
